<!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->I'm embarrassed to say how often we use paper towels instead of napkins over here. http://www.organizedhomemaker.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif I don't own a napkin holder and feel sorta silly not having a place to hold them. A simple basket would work.

Curious what you use.

Yes, I have one somewhere. My BIL made it. It's a wooden heart shaped one. It never got unpacked from the move out west and I've not found it during this move yet. We use a lot of paper towels too.

Back in the days when we were DINKs I had an obsession with Longaberger baskets. One of my many baskets is used to hold napkins. It sits on a wire shelf unit near the kitchen table.

I use baskets.
In the kitchen above the micro is a rectangular basket of them.
On the table is the kind you can use for silverwear & napkins. In the back are 2 sections for napkins. Instead of holding silverware, in the front we keep salt & pepper shakers on the 2 end sections & a pair of scissors, pens and the tv & fan remote live in the middle one.

Yes I have 2 right now. One is a Home and Garden one that is silver with little hearts cut out of it. It was always catching crumbs and stuff and needing to be washed. I was garage-saleing the other day and found the coolest square copper box with handles on it for $2 (a bit much but I love it) and now I'm using that instead. It's a perfect fit for napkins and won't be the crumb catcher that the other one is. Don't know yet what I'm gonna do with that other one....wish I could think of some creative re-use for it.
