Let me begin by saying that I HATE shopping. Seriously. I DESPISE shopping for anything except for groceries. I just don't enjoy the experience...don't know why. Maybe I'm a freak of nature or something.

Anyway, the exception to that rule is Target. I love Target. I hear it calling to me..."Amy...come browse through my aisles...check out my clearance end caps...come to me, Amy...come to me!" I wind up going and buying random things that I didn't really need, but that were a really great deal. Dh laughs at me, because he'll come home and see the "dog who just ate the turkey off the table" look on my face and immediately say "Been to Target?"

Just to qualify, I'm not spending gajillions of bucks. I go about once a month and spend under $20 each trip, but it's still more shopping than I need to be doing.

Does anyone else have a store that lures them???

Target is really a great store. I stay out of it as much as possible. :D
Their housewares/decor sections just have so many cute and trendy things.

Clothing is inexpensive and there are always clearance items. The store is clean and feels fun.

OMG I LOOOOOVE that store - I like it more then Walmart here! LOL But lately I've been on the frugal trend - no more shopping unless I have to but I have since disovered Dollar General - my new fave US store.

I still like to browse Target but I wont buy toiletries/cleaning products until I check out Dollar General first. However at Target and Walmart - I tend to buy cheap casual clothing and basic work clothes that are on the border of business casual/casual and sometimes I find pieces that make it 'trendy' which I sooo dont do on purpose lol. Love those two stores for clothes down in the US.

So when I do make a point of crossin the border to go down there, I just like to look at everything. Always have, always will....but still.....the mystery remains.....how does Target lure oneself?

Hobby Lobby.....I have to make myself stay away. Then, like a junkie, after about 3 months I go on a bender and spend $20 or $30 there...

I know what you mean about Target when I lived in America I used to love going there. In fact it was the first shop we went to when we arrived (company appartment needed new bedding). We had only been in the country a matter of hours.
Another shop I used to really liked was Pottery Barn.
