Stupid question about slipcovers

I've never used slipcovers before hence the stupid question. I have a loveseat that I want to slipcover but it's one of those pillow back sofas. It's got 3 large pillows for the back but most of the slipcovers I see are for solid back sofas. Most of the ones I've seen are $30-$50, can't afford much more than that right now. How do you use slipcovers on these type of sofas? I want to change the color from the off white to a denim blue, hence why I want the pillows covered too. I don't think it'll work throwing the slipcover over the pillows too will it?

I think most are the ones that go over the entire couch. You can make them yourself but I know I sure couldn't, lol.
