DH and I are getting a king-sized bed next week. We've wanted one for a long time, and we're looking forward to the extra space... especially since DD likes to sneak into bed with us at night. ;)

Anyways, I need to go buy some new sheets to fit the bigger bed. Any advice? I know that I don't want the cheapest ones I find, but I also can't afford to buy expensive department-store sheets.

Any good brands? Advice about thread counts? Really, I haven't ever bought too many sheets-- we received several sets for our old bed as wedding gifts, and they've lasted us all this time. So, any advice would be appreciated! :)

Anything that is 100% cotton and 280 ore more thread count will be really nice. They will probably cost you at least $40, probably more like $50 or $60. Tuesday mroning usually has a good selection of sheets, or maybe you could find something online. Enjoy your nice, big bed!

I agree with tbs727 anything over 280 thread count. Check out linens-n-things or bed, bath and beyond. You can use the 20% off coupons on sale items and clearance as well.

Check out SmartBargains.com. I saw that they had 550 count cotton sheets on sale for like $59.99 or something just yesterday.
