Learned Something About Myself Today

Okay, laundry and I are not friends. Not a secret. However, I learned something very interesting today.

My Mom was here while the boys were napping and we were talking in the living room and I said, "Come upstairs and sit on my bed while I put laundry away." While she was there, I got three loads folded and put away. I guarantee that I wouldn't have gotten them done if she hadn't stopped by.

I learned about myself today that I actually need someone in the room to support my laundry efforts in order to get it done efficiently. I need a laundry enabler! How pathetic am I??? :rolleyes:

You are not pathetic. That's why I love my portable phone. I often do mundane tasks while talking on the phone. They are done & over while you enjoy talking to someone. It's a wonderful thing. My sis halps me with dishes, laundry, weeding... I'm always trying to multi task so I have time for other things that need my attention.:)

I hate putting the laundry away! Lucky for me Eleni loves to do this! I just learn to live with the fact that they are not folded as good, but, at least I don't have to do it!

I'd love to have a cleaning buddy. (and a cooking buddy, laundry buddy, gardening buddy, etc) lol

Having someone there to motivate you makes sense to me. I use the phone for this, too, like Darlene said.

I do this too. We just got a cordless phone after not having one for several years. I get a LOT done when my SIL calls. We tend to talk forever LOL.

I do "challenges" online with another friend. It's a great motivator. :doingdishes:
