Hi, everyone, newbie here!
For the last little while I have been scouting out sofas and chairs in the local furniture stores.
There was a lot of leather on offer - too cold. Nice fabrics, too, but they tend to wear. And then there was this micro-fibre.
I was told scotch-guarding would invalidate any warranty, but that the fibre wears extra-ordinarily well and that, if soaked up immediately, spills would not damage the fabric. Sales pitch or truth?

We recently got a super deal on a small loveseat sized sofa bed. The super deal only came in micro-fiber. It's in the den, so it doesn't get a lot of use, the kids tend to sit on the floor, and there haven't been any spills. The cat hair cleans off of it better that any other fabric I've seen! I did see a rep from a particular brand squirt mustard on a mocha colored sofa, rub it in a bit and then it cleaned right up! It dried quickly and looked good as new within a few minutes.

Thanks, AFW! Still waiting for a better deal, but if a micro-fibre one comes across our way that we like we won't hesitate now, unless someone else tells me the wear and tear isn't too great.
