choosing window treatments

I'm trying to decide on window treatments for our bow window. It's not a deep angled bow, but does have an angle. I'm torn on having a rod go directly across the entire window (outside of the bow) or having an angled rod that is inside the bow.

I keep looking at pictures to see what I might like better and am leaning toward the straight rod across because it's less money and easier too. (well also because I like how it looks too)

Anyone have a bay or bow window? How do you have it decorated?

I don't but I wanted to post to say, you are amazing.....I am learning alot from your posts:)

Mom has one in the dining area, not very deep with a shelf and she has the rod(s) straight across.

I say rods because in the winter her curtains are cafe style to help let in the light but you can keep the bottom closed for privacy as it is eye level with the driveway. ;)
