Hello everyone,

I'm Andrea from Michigan and I stumbled upon this board form the Frugal Village forums. My husband Ken and I don't have any children, and I work full time and go to school. Currently, I work for a major hub airport in the Detroit vicinity as a Human Resources Supervisor. I attend Baker College online and am studying to get my BA in Human Resources Management.

I am very interested in all things related to keeping the home nice for my husband and pets. They are much happier (and so am I) when the house is not in disarray. Over the years, as I became lazier and more heavy, my house sort of went to the dogs. I have tried the flylady system, but there really is no one to talk to and the emails just clog up my mail folder. So, I am looking for people with similar goals and objectives to talk to as I get better at keeping the house. I just KNOW that if I were to concentrate on my house, and do what needs doing, I wouldn't have a weight problem and could eat regular foods. I am going to experiment with it, anyway. If I DON'T lose the weight, then at least my house will look good. ;)

Well, that's my story and I look forward to getting to know all of you!!!

Hi! I too lost my way with the house. My family got bigger and got more stuff. The house ,alas, did not!

I am cooking every night instead of preprocessed junk. I am cleaning and organizing. It is still a mess but I press on.

My dd leaves for college in one week(whine cry) and I am moving my dd into her room and moving my sewing, paint, craft, and scrapbooking out of the diningroom alcove and into the younger dds room as it has a wall of builting shelves and cabinets.

My younger dd is excited about changing rooms so it all works out great.

BUt..I have to do all the packing, traching, and moving. Evrything needs a good clean and a painting.

I am tired just thinking about it.

I know how you feel. Things get out of hand, you get tired, and it effects yours and your familys happiness.

I have, as I get older, have decides that if my "stuff" makes me so unhappy, it is time to get rid of the "stuff".

Can you say GARAGE SALE? LOL!

Welcome to the boards. Maybe some mornings we can have hourly 15 minute power cleans together! I can sure use a cleaning buddy!
