I'm just wondering because ours used to be three loads every Sunday - then 4 loads every Saturday done at our in-laws - now its down to kind of an emergency load when we run out of "fill in the blank." I spent Labor Day doing 6 loads of laundry. There are just the two of us right now - so I'm wondering what everyone's laundry routine is. Do you do one load every day? Do you have a specific day for things (e.g. towels on Tuesday)? Do you do everything on the weekend? Just curious.

I try to do at least one load of something everyday, just to stay on top of it. I do sheets and blankets every Monday, and normally I have enough towels to do them once a week, on Saturday. During the week I alternate with darks one day, whites/socks one day, brights, etc. If I get busy and things pile up, I try to do everything during the race (we are a NASCAR family!!) because I have a captive audience for folding! And laundry sorting and folding was a chore that my kids learned very young, so they are very good at it now and help out a lot!

I do laundry every day except on the weekends if I can help it. I need to do at least 2-3 loads per day to stay on top of things though.

I do a load a day. More on weekends. Laundry is never caught up. It's my least favorite task. Seems silly when it's really not a big deal to plop clothes into machines and then put them away. It's the putting away part that gets to me. Up two flights of stairs. This household has way too many clothes. I purged bags upon bags last summer. I need to go through them again soon.

I hate putting the laundry away the most. I don't mind the rest, but hauling it up and down the stairs...ugh. In my next house (HA!), I want a first floor laundry room.
