Hand mix or electric?

What do you usually grab to mash your potatoes? I usually grab the hand masher, I like a few lumps in mine.

I mash by hand and don't use a mixer---but if I did, it would be electric because I don't have a hand mixer.

Hand mixer-- I like 'em lumpy, and with the skins left on the potatoes.

Hand, but I like them to be "real". If I wanted smoothe ones, I'd use Potato Buds. Also, I don't have to do large quantities - that might change my approach.

I'm really the only one that likes mashed potatoes here. I think that's weird.

I've mashed potatoes many times in my KA. It's handy and right there, so is easiest sometimes. I really should get a new hand mixer. I have this cheapie one that no joke, I think it cost $10 and I think it's time I got some big girl kitchen tools and appliances. lol

I use a potato ricer if I am cooking for 2 or 3 of us. If more I will use the kitchen aid.
