View Full Version : so I have a new roaster...
I wanted a roaster oven for about 10 yrs and finally got one. lol Hmm now what? :D I'm planning to make our turkey in it this Thanksgiving. What do you use yours for? How does it compare to your crockpot or oven when you use it instead?

Since I lived without my oven for about 4 years (long story, I was protesting b/c of repeated repairs on my Whirlpool oven) I learned to use my roaster for lots of things. It cooks a turkey like a dream and brisket too....We use Claudes' Brisket Sauce and marinate it overnite in the fridge. Then cook on 350 all day with the fatty side up. Melt in your mouth yummy. I've also made dressing in mine. Beans for a crowd are great....we've had a Stew Dinner for Barry's business too and they worked great for that. Much easier than heating up the oven and when it's hot outside you can use it outside and not heat up the kitchen. ;) Enjoy that thang.
