Typically, we don't hang outdoor Christmas lights. I thought it would be nice to give it a try this year. ugh Now I remember why I don't hang outdoor lights. lol
I splurged and purchased these snowflake lights. These aren't like the icicle snowflake type. I attached a pic below of a similar set.
Anyway, first set, two of the snowflakes didn't light. ugh Then we hung a second set and three burnt out. I decided to just return them all.
I realized we don't really even have eletrical outlets in key locations outside and I don't want to be staring at orange extension cords running all over the front of the house.
I returned them and bought a new door hanging. Just three little snowmen on a grapevine wreath. I also hung 5 big red velvet bows from my indoor stair railing.
Ally requested a new stocking, so I picked her up a Snow White stocking and Miranda can have Ally's old one.
We bought Ally and Zachary matching robes. Very cute red with green trim and nice and fuzzy warm. :)
I don't have it in me to have turkey or ham for Christmas. No one is really all that fond of either. I am unsure yet if we'll have steaks, a nice beef roast, or just roasted chicken.
Zachary reported that he still believes in Santa, but does not believe reindeer can fly. He said it was possible the sleigh had a silent engine, but there was no way reindeer fly.
Ally said she believes reindeer fly and that's it's Santa's magic.
Zachary also mentioned he didn't understand why we gave Santa sugary cookies and if everyone did, well that is way too much sugar for Santa and he'll just get fatter and fatter.
