Has been taking a second shower at night, before I go to bed. I go through my basket of samples and pick out a shower gel, or scrub, or something that smells wonderful and use it. I certainly don't *need* to take a second shower, but I feel a lot better when I get out!
Does anyone else have a daily simple indulgence?

I love coffee..I am a coffee hound. Now I ususally drink it black but with all the new creamer flavors comming out I had to try one. I got the peppermint mocha...it is soooo yummy in coffee...so I tried it in my hot chocolate....it was sinful....everyone should try that....Kathy

My favorite is this stuff I rub on my heels at night. It came in a stone box, and I think is called Scents Concreta (or something like that).

I love "gourmet" hot chocolate, although I don't drink it exactly daily, more like 4-5 times a week. No Swiss Miss in this house, thanks. ;)
I also love my Sweet Pea body cream from Bath & Body Works. That I do use daily. My skin is so dry right now. I'm also into All- Natural Chapstick right now. I put it on several times a day.

Hot cocoa with cinnamon and cayenne added. I got this from my son, who picked it up from a Mexican Food cookbook he got at Christmas (and promptly sat down to read in the middle of a party - funny kid). It sounded wierd, but he really liked it and said I HAD to try it, so of course I did and I love it!
Add about 1/4 t of cayenne and 1/2 of cinnamon to regular hot cocoa - no marshmallows.

I get in that mode sometimes. In my case it's usually when I'm overcommitted and frazzled. Hope you are not in that condition. Think of something that you do (or used to) enjoy that is fairly affordable and easily accomodated - and decree it your "special thing" - sometimes that works for me. One spring it was walking by the river at dawn and feeding the ducks stale bread.

New one, can't become a habit. A friend gave me a gift certificate for a pedicure. I didn't really expect to like it, but didn't want to waste it, nor to hurt her feelings. I used it, and I LOVED it. No painted nails, but much massaging of feet and calves, and nice feeling substances, and soaking, and wrapping in warm towels. Wish I thought one could do it to one's self, but bending over and stretching to wrap a hot wet towel around my foot just doesn't seem relaxing.

On the weekends where DD is at her fathers, I have some alone time. At first I hated it, I missed the havok of having her home... but, now on Saturdays I draw a bath, put in some nice smelling bubbles or salts... grab a book and read (amazing how much you can read with no one knocking on the door to go 'potty') I also do my 'non-sexy' things such as the green gloop face mask, the mayo hair condition and other things that I would be mortified if DF walked in and saw me doing... If I don't feel like reading, I put on an audio book.

Thanks! I use audio books for when my eyes are tired, but never thought of using them in the bath. Great idea!
