I was just thinking how useful this piece of furniture has been for me. I picked it up at the Christmas Tree Shops 5 years ago and paid $40. DH (who was my boyfriend at the time) assembled it for me. The wood is unfinished, something that I always said I'd get around to finishing someday. I'm sure I will get to it, but not for a while!

I've used this for a kitchen table when I lived by myself. I've used this as a plant stand on my deck. I've used this as a catchall piece of furniture by the door for when you're coming in or going out to put stuff on. I was originally going to use it for a changing table when DS was born (until my MIL bought us a changing table). And now, it has become my desk.

What a functional piece of furniture!

I have an old barn bench like that. It is made out of old red barn wood and was in our barn as a child. It has been a table for my kids when they were little, a bench at the end of the bed and now I use it as my coffee table..I just pieces you can use for everything....woo hooo.
