How often do you update your decor?

I think that most of us change some things with the seasons (put out the Christmas towels or Halloween candles, or wreaths or what have you), but how often do you look around and actually re-decorate? Like updating your day to day living pieces? I'm in the middle of updating my bathroom for the first time ever. I'd like to work on my bedroom next.

I know some people decorate as an on-going project. So how do you do it?

I don't change my decor too often, I've been decortaing country for years now although I am trying to go more primitive country..so I just add pieces as I find them.

We totally changed directions in our bedroom a couple of years ago when we got new furniture. We went from country/quilts, etc. to more of a beach resort type thing. With the military moves, I get to reinvent every few years, whether I want to or not! :rolleyes: A lot of things stay constant, but I may change colors of cushions, and I very rarely get to reuse curtains!

I have always lived a farm life so my decor revolves around primitives. I don't change to anything to often, I just add to it. I love old primitive cabinets and boxes and they are easy to change around. I follow the rule of using what you have for the most part, but I can't pass up and unusal primitive. I just move things around from room to room when I get the urge for something different..I also use alot of americana....
