Does anyone have these? Can you recommend something to put on my windows to keep out the light from my neighbor's motion-sensored flood light? It's been lighting up my room for at least a month now. It literally wakes me up at least three times per night. I feel like Kramer (Seinfeld) and the chicken store sign that blinded him at night LOL

I've used the black out curtains for years and they are wonderful! My husband has had periods of time throughout his career of working "mids" (middle of the night) and needing to sleep during the day. These make the room pitch black! Just make sure you get a size that will totally cover the window so there are no light streams, that can be annoying! :D I've always ordered them from JCPenney because they have so many styles and sizes. As an added bonus, they help keep out the heat in summer and the cold in winter. Plus NONE of the color on the curtains has faded over time from the sun!
You can also buy RocLon (brand name) black out liner at JoAnn's by the yard, and attach it yourself to existing curtains.
Do you know why the motion light keeps going off during the night? That could be scary - is someone prowling around?

My DH often works night shift and needs the room dark to sleep during the day. The best thing we've ever bought is the cellular blinds that we have now-- they were cut-to-size, off-the-shelf at Lowe's. We have a huge bedroom window, and I think we only paid about $75 for the shade. The room is pitch black!
You can get plain blackout curtains through Country Curtains. We had those, but the gap between the curtain and the window (the space for the curtain rod) left about a three inch gap for sunlight to come in all around the edges. At night we'd never notice that, but for use during the day, or with your bright light problem, it wasn't good. We found that the cellular blinds, fitted inside the windowsill, worked much better.
