View Full Version : dream home
For a long time I've wanted to live on a lake. I've always hoped we could find a place that had some land. It's hard to find anything that doesn't cost much more than is reasonable to me. Even if I had the money, I wouldn't want to spend it on an overpriced home. We've come close to buying a lake home quite a few times, but I'm thankful we didn't since our finances took a major nosedive when my husband was let go from his job.
At any rate, I always love to look at online homes. It's inspiring to me to simply dream about these homes.
The homes I like pretty much have the same details which is why I find it so funny that I came across this house and am not sure what it is that I like about it. LOL
The architect is common here, so it's not as if the style is terribly unique. The look is dated to me and yet something is appealing to the point I look at the virtual tour over and over. LOL It's not even on a lake! It's near a pond and near Lake Huron though.
Tell me what you like about it or don't like. LOL

I like three others, too.

Love dreaming about homes. I'm not sure why I like log cabins. Realistically, I think I'd go stir crazy living in one with the wood walls etc.

Your link only brings me to the page where you searched for the town. I hit submit though, and it's the only listing for that town, so it does eventually work w/o too much difficulty.
I like its size and the land that is included. Also like that it has a pool. My stupid computer doesn't like the virtual tour, so I can only see what is on the main page. The only thing I don't really care for is the fact that it looks squashed from the outside. Like someone sat on it or something LOL
I'm hoping to get the tour working so I can see the rest though.

1158502...I really like this one. More my style architecturally. I love the stone mantel w/the spot for the tv as well as the stone in the kitchen.

081548...I like the front window portion (from the outside), but this is definitely my least favorite so far. Too much wood for me.

082000...nice bear! ;)
Even though this one has a ton of wood, I think I like this one best (taking into account the outside only since there aren't any of the inside).
I like to look at online real estate sites for decorating ideas, too. I've discovered many people with a good deal of money seem to have poor taste. ;)
I don't quite understand a 3 bedroom home under 3000 square feet with 7 bathrooms either. LOL But hey when ya gotta go...LMAO
I dream about some goofy things sometimes. Like I've always wanted a nice spice set. How silly. I've always wanted a backyard greenhouse. Nothing huge. I've wanted enough land to have a small apple orchard, too.
I used to dream about having goats. I don't know what my obsession was with goats. Really, I'm not so naive to think they just prance around looking cute. But yep, I had the goat dream for a long time.
Gabe:So you want goat's milk?
Me: No.
Gabe: Well why do you want goats?
Me: They're just so cute.
Gabe: That's it?
Me: Uhh, Ye--Ah.
Gabe: We should go to the petting farm this weekend.
The horse dream. The pond dream. The weeping willow dream. The wildflower meadow dream. The swing hung from a giant oak tree dream. The porch swing dream. The vineyard dream. I could go on and on. The homemade chalkboard dream. The stenciled mural dream. The sailboat dream. The giant pantry dream. LOL
What dreams have you had?

My dream is the big bathroom. You know the one...with the big jacuzzi bathtub that you have to climb 3 steps to get into. Big enough for 2, no 3 people (whether or not you actually have that many people in there at a time is SO not my business). A separate shower with those shower nozzles that come out of the wall at different levels so your whole body is getting sprayed, and maybe a little bench in there, just because. Double sinks, one for me and one for dh. Mirrors over both, drawers and cabinets beneath. A non-cloggable toilet and lots and lots of candles, just for ambiance.

I have my dream home (an old Victorian) however I would love to have it on an acreage instead of the town we live in. It just doesn't have the large windows I'd like, isn't on an acreage, doesn't have a jacuzzi or a very large kitchen.
Now that I've lived in this one, I want a smaller one w/o a second floor. It has to have large windows, a wraparound porch and be in a larger town. I'm just getting too old for a acreage and chickens.

I would love to have modern house with all the modern facilities and with a big green lawn and great swimming pull with a Dolphin.
In lawn there will an arrangement of movie show in big frame so that whenever we would love to watch a movie we can see that.

I would like to design my home as my view or my dream. But for that I am prefer an architecture and infrastructure designer to select better option. Another thing is that when I design my dream home then I never compromises for any thing.
