With young kids, I don't put much on the tables anymore. I had my bubble bowl terrarium. Pictured below. And well, let's just say small toys don't belong in it. Makes it tough for plants to grow. LOL

I have a pedestal dish on my dining room table. Does that count? Not much, I'm afraid. My entry way has a small all occasional table. It has flair that scares. LOL Just little votive holders, a nice older styled Stiffel lamp and a framed picture.

I have two half walls. I have glass vases on them. It looks nice, but again isn't a good idea with young kids. It's a challenge to have a home that is kid friendly and tastefully decorated, too.

I try to decorate all the tables in the house during the holidays. The days of my vintage paperweight collection being displayed are over. LOL

I remember the bubble bowl LOL...I can totally see my kids putting small toys in there too. I have a feeling I'd have a Barbie head or some Lego men visiting

I don't put much on my tables because of my cat, mostly. He's more of an issue than my kids at this point--always knocking things over.

We only have one table for dining in our dining room/kitchen area. I have a bowl that I set in the middle of the table and fill with apples, but the truth is, I get tired of having to take it off the table at every meal, so I wind up just keeping it on the china cabinet.

We have two small tables in the living room at either end of the couch. One has fake flowers in a waterford vase in it and a lamp, and the other has our wedding picture, a red/white/blue cookie jar/house decoration (kinda tacky, but I don't know what else to do with it) and a plant that a friend sent me when I had Patrick. After 4 years, it is on its last legs, but it is the only living thing (other than humans) that I have ever been able to keep semi-alive, so I keep it.
