Do you use powdered laundry soap? I haven't used it in a long time. I have a box of borax and there it is camped out on the laundry room shelf waiting for me to actually use it.

No, we always used liquid when I was a kid, and I think the one time we tried powder (while living here), it didn't dissolve properly. Was a huge, wasteful mess. Could be because we have hard water?
