I've heard some people talk about making their bread dough in theirs and I've also heard mention making homemade laundry detergent with their food processors.
So I thought it would be fun to find out what people make with their food processors?
I bought one last year and really don't feel like I use it nearly enough, so I thought I would pick everyone's brains here, to find out what they use theirs for on a regular basis?
It's funny you mention this. I have a food processor that I rarely use, too. I wish I could get over thinking that it's a big ordeal to clean. It's not any worse than any other small appliance.
I really should use it more for just simple chopped and grated foods. Like: Cole slaw, pie dough, mixing meat loaf, to make bread crumbs, cracker crumbs, chop nuts, and dips like hummus.

I know, I'm the same way Sara!
I have one of those little majic bullets and I usually pull that out for alot of things.
But yeah, I've used my food processor for making hummus & coleslaw too.
It's so much quicker than trying to shred all that cabbage by hand!
I've heard of people making pesto, but I've never tried it?
Do you have any experience with it?
Thanks,
Michelle

Usually I just use it for shredding carrots or cabbage for cole slaw, zucchini for bread, etc. I thought it was too messy for cheese, so I usually do that by hand.
I do make pesto in it too when I have fresh basil from my garden. Yummy. The kids especially enjoy it.
It's so big and clunky that I hate hauling it out to use it, but I would like to find more to do with it. :)
