furniture wish list

I don't have a huge list of furniture that I want. I've changed a lot from when I was in my 20's and wanted soooo many things. There are a few pieces of furniture I've always wanted though.

They are:

An antique hoosier cabinet with everything intact. (glass jars, rolling pin, etc)
Vintage bombay chest.
Sleigh bed
Jelly cupboard

I'm sure I'll come up with a few more, but those are the top few things.

I've wanted a sleigh bed forever. Dark, dark wood...like mahogany. Also a hope/blanket chest. I can't really think of anything else right now. Will come back & update if I come up with more :)

I wanted a hope chest forever, too. I also used to want a hall tree. I don't have the entryway for it here.

Me too on the hall tree. As well as a bench seat/storage but no room for either, unfortunately.

Since I am in the middle of a remodel, I have a huge list of things I want. We are going to change out 90% - 100% of everything we have. Mostly because our house looks like a mismatched mess in a flea market. Nothing goes together. We combined 2 houses into one, in a hurry. The only thing I KNOW that I am keeping is my hanging Macrame lamp/table. Other than that, it can all go.

My aunt used to make macrame lamps/tables. They were really nice. Did you make yours? My house has quite the combination of thrift store stuff. Some of it is quite nice, but some of it is there until I can replace it with something nicer. ie. wall art that isn't my first choice but is better than bare walls.

I always wanted to replace most of the stuff in my place. But I'm too tight up for budget right now. :(
