Lefton Mermaids

I love the Lefton Mermaids from the 1940's and 50's. Been trying for months to get some from eBay at a decent price but to no avail. They're classic retro kitch superbnessity!

The brown is supposed to be a lobster, I believe

I like them, too. I also used to have a thing for the Lefton spaghetti poodles with the little gold chain leashes. LOL Don't laugh too hard. I just loved them. They remind me of my great grandma. My husband and I had some tough times the first year we were married, I sold them on eBay for next to nothing. I miss them.

Spaghetti poodles with chains, huh?
I never heard of them before today, then looked at a few on eBay, and agree,
they ARE cool!
Why are they called spaghetti though?

The style of the ceramic on the legs/ears. It's textured like spaghetti.
