What household chore drives you nuts if....(m)

.........it is left undone? It drives me crazy for the beds to be unmade. Dishes are a close second. I can step over laundry. I suppose I get this from my Mom who always death cleaned before going on any trip. You know, got to make sure the beds are made and the dishes are done in case you die on a trip and someone has to come into your house??? :p

Actually, none. It doesn't bother me anymore, not like it use too. Guess because I know that no matter what, its still going to be there when I'm ready to tackle it.

LOL! I've told her that too! But I guess at 84 she's not going to change her ways. At least she doesn't make the bed when she stays in a motel anymore! LOL! :rolleyes:

I have to do the dishes as soon as we get done eating. It drives me nuts if they sit there too long. I especially hate it in the morning if there are dirty dishes. :)

I'm with CJ on this one. A lot of things in my life have changed in the last couple of years and I don't worry about housework anymore. If I get to it great, if I don't, it'll be there tomorrow. ;)

I've gotten more relaxed as I age. Dishes can't sit longer than umm...ummm we eat at 6:45pm...Jack loads the dw at 5:45 am...stuff that can't go in the dw gets done by me at...7:00 on an I care day and 3pm on a day I don't.:P

My schedule is so crazy that I may or may not get any particular task done. Dishes are the one thing I do try and get to every night before going to bed. Doesn't always happen, but I try. Beds on the other hand, hardly ever get really made up nicely, mostly just thrown together.

The trash HAS to go out daily! I think it's cause it always worries me that it stinks and if anyone comes over I will have a stinky house :p :rolleyes:

None really. The girls will mess everything up within 5 minutes when they get home...it does bother my husband though especially dishes and floors that need picking up from all the stuff (toys, cards, drinks, etc. the girls spill on it or throw down...so I'm trying to keep up with those).

We have such a problem with ants....especially this time of year so I have to keep the kitchen spotless......no dirty dishes, nothing on the counters, clean floor... or I have ants everywhere!!!!

I can't stand if the kitchen is messy...the rest, as long as I can walk in the room, I don't mind as much :)

Definitely the dishes, the bed, and I can't stand for my carpet to be dirty. I vacuum the living room about 3 times a day.

I am a bit compulsive and I have a routine in the morning. I make my bed, empty trash cans, sweep floors and do the dishes. If I don't do these basics I can't work effectively, can't concentrate on other stuff.
