Has anyone tried making their own salves and lotions? I think today with the snow coming down and a fire in the fireplace I decided to channel a little bit of something right out of Little House on the Prairie.
I took some grape seed oil, olive oil, and infused it with dried mint, comfrey, calendula, and chamomile. After a couple hours steeping in the warm oil I pressed out the oil, reheated a little, and added some beeswax. Once the beeswax melted I poured it into 3oz jars. Smells good... maybe it will work on my old tired, rough, and dry feet! We shall see!
