Trying to get out of debt

We have put all our credit card and unsecured loan debt in a debt reduction firms hands. They handle your debt and settle with the companies at 40% of what you owe and charge 10% as their fee...so our bills on all those will be only $266 a month sent to one company...and the credit card and loan companies can't legally harass us anymore.

Will let you know how it goes. Barring paying any of our big tax returns on it, we should have our debt (except house) paid off in 4 years.

I used to be into pen palling bigtime years ago. I moved from NY to MI and was heartsick for a while and didn't feel like a very good "pal", so I stopped.

I own the pen pal group. It used to be more fun. lol I used to host swaps every two weeks. I tried to migrate the yahoo group over to Frugal Village's pen pal section, but it didn't go over well, so I just kept the yahoo group open. Swaps are held on Frugal Village for members, so I just post a reminder every 6 months or so on the yahoo group in case anyone is interested in swaps.
