When we lived in the city, high schoolers would drive on our street flying by. We often would yell at them to slow down. They paid no heed.

Here in our small rural town, we seldom have traffic anywhere near our home. I love it.

Unfortunately, yes, way busier than we ever expected. BUT, it's not really local traffic, it's dump trucks! They use our road as a shortcut for going other places and there is also some construction going on around here so there are trucks constantly going by that are hauling fill dirt, sod, etc.

Yes. It is not a highway, but on one side is a very busy street where people drive much faster than they should for a residential area (the limit is 25, but they go 40 or more a lot).

We're only 3 houses in from a somewhat busy road. Our street is pretty quiet, but sometimes cars cut through our road to avoid the lights on the other roads.

It used to be a MAJOR EVENT for a car to travel down our road "Look DH there's a car!"

Now, we get so many we barely notice. Its not BUSY, but a whole lot busier than it used to be. Folks drive entirely too fast down (50 mph speed limit) our road and so our kids are not allowed to ride their bikes in the road without one of us along. I hate that, but I'd rather they were safe.

Unfortunately yes :(

When we first moved here 15 years ago we had very little traffic but now that there's been so much development we live on a very busy road. I miss the good old days!

While my road is not busy - it has a fair amount of traffic. Idon't mind it that much, but I do worry about my doggies getting loose.

We are in an neighborhood that is basically a large oval road with a couple of dead end offshoots. There is only one way in and one way out, so we don't get through traffic. It is nice and peaceful back here, except for the school bus drivers who I think drive way to fast with little kid playing around.

Extremely!

We are up and away from it somewhat, but it is still noisy as all get out. Oh and racing season is here. There is a race track a ½ mile from our house, they all think they are Mario Andretti when the races get out!

I live on a state highway so during the day there is traffic but we are far enough off the road that we don't really notice it and we had our home set at a slight angle to the road so they are not looking directly into our house as they drive by. In the evenings there is not a lot of traffic and nights it is very quite.

We live on a side street of a main road in our city. Our street is a U stree and is not bad, during the mornings and evenings there are several cars and there are a few teen agers that like to speed on it at all hours. The main street is busy especially in the morning, evenings and when the schools let out.

No, we live at the end of a 1000ft private driveway. It's nice but an awful lot of work to maintain.(pothole repair, snow removal)

We have a really long driveway off of a country road. Alot of people use it as a shortcut but it's not too bad since we are so far from the road.

Yes, 2nd busiest street in town, but it is all relative- we live in a very small village, so it isn't too bad. And we have a nice bi back yard that is completely shielded from the street.

Luckily, no. That is one of the things I love best about our place. We live on a cul-de-sac in a gated community. Only residents drive on the street--and the occasional pizza delivery guy! ;)

We back up to a golf course which is normally quiet--except for when the golfers hit poorly and start to cuss! LOL It is pretty funny.

On rainy days my husband and I make fun of the die-hard golfers who still try to play in the pouring rain!

Our street is a cul-de-sac, but, we're in a new housing development and we're the first completed street, so there's a lot of people driving through looking at houses. There's also a ton of construction vehicles. They are building the last two houses on our street now, so, hopefully in a few months things will quiet down traffic-wise.

No, unless you consider a billion kids in my yard to be busy!!:) We are fortunate enough to live at the bottom of a great cul de sac......we do get all the kids down here but we don't mind at all!!
