Are your husbands like this?
Mine is horrified that the kids dump trash on the floor....however, he leaves or puts trash beside the sink, on shelves, on the computer desk, etc. but rarely in the trash can. So mom still has to put it all in the trash.
My least favorite is the sink: we don't have a garbage compactor or automatic dishwasher so I have to fish the food out of the drain by hand. Gross!

Oh do not get me started on DH and trash!!! That and the cat box (and carrying laundry baskets back upstairs so I can put it away) are about all I ask him to do around here! The past few nights trash has overflowed. We are in a passive aggressive mode and waiting each other out to see who caves first and empties it! So tonight I couldn't stand the kitchen trash anymore and I made him come help me empty it.
He can walk over trash in the floor and enver flinch. It makes me fume! If he would just pick up stuff he sees on the floor my tidying would take about half of the time!
I told you not to get me started! LOL!
Sorry gals :(
I have a wonderful hubby that does lots of household chores, I know I am lucky and try to do special things for him. :)

Debbie, I hate this too! I can't get my family to leave the drainer/stopper in the drain so usually end up fishing out the gunk in the drain. Now that I'm starting a compost heap most of the garbage (veggie and fruit garbage) is going into that. But other "stuff" often collects in the drains.
My husband is very bad about taking a container of food from the fridge that he thinks has been there too long and is now inedible and then leaving it out on the counter to grow more mold. I think that irritates me the very most.

Joes good at taking out the trash, and when I became pregnant (and even now) he takes care of the litter box.

Dave can be pretty bad about forgetting to scrape leftover food into the trash (no disposal here either), but usually he's okay about it.
I had to set up a weekly Yahoo reminder for him, though, to take the trash to the curb. It's worked like a charm :)

My dh is very helpful around the house when I ask him to be... However I have one huge pet peeve that in 10 years I've not been able to break... when he uses a tissue (anywhere other than the bathroom) he'll leave the used tissue on a counter/table/wherever. It drives me insane and it's totally disgusting!

Hi all! I'm new here! I have one question, what is dh?????? My husband works seven days a week so when he is home, he doesn't do squat! Sometimes he has a weekend off and he still does nothing!!!! We have an 11 mth old son (Austin) and sometimes all I ask is that he watch him and keep him off my feet, you guessed it!, he doesn't do it!!!!!

Now, I thought my husband was the only one who did that. Instead of using the trashbarrel. He will just put whatever on the counter. But he does make up for it by doing all the laundry. So I can't complain!
