This is one of my favorite ways to use a trash type item. They may have to be reglued or renailed, but they are great for craft projects, shadow boxes, pictures, etc.

I took some old smaller wooden picture frames, hung them in the bathroom with ribbons, and they are now towel holders.

I have a boxful of frames I've picked up at flea markets and rummage sales -- still have to put them to use. Its a weakness -- I can't pass up a frame that is priced right!

I have some picture frames in colors that will no longer 'work' with the new decor but I loved them because they have designs on them. I spray painted them with "hammered" look paint. I don't remember the name of them but any paint store or Walmart will have them. I have some hammered nickle for the kitchen ones, hammered copper ones for the livingroom, pinks and reds in polkadots for DD's room and metalic gold ones for my bedroom.
