We are.
My oldest daughter has Deanna Troi for a middle name (counselor on Next Generation).
Youngest girl is named Jadzia (Dax on Deep space 9) Kathryn (Captain Janeway's first name) and Annika (7 of 9's human first name) from Star Trek Voyager.
Should we have more kids, they will get Trekkie names too probably.
Brandi is from that song Brandi what a fine girl what a good wife you would make. Hubby picked those out. I picked out younger girls.

I used to watch Star Trek often. I haven't watched it in a long time. I enjoy some science fiction, but lately have been into crime shows. Gabe loves science fiction.

Big Star Trek fans here. When Josh was 7 he was given a wish by the Starlight Foundation and we all went to Los Angeles to spend a day on the set with The Next Generation crew. It was fabulous!

Before we lost our television, DH and I used to rush home to switch to the Sci-Fi channel and watch the Treks. My fav was Voyager and his was Enterprise. Fav character was definitely the Doctor on Voyager. :)
Bright Blessings!

I used to love the old Star Trek when I was younger and like to watch any re-runs or movies that they show in TV.

Same here.
My favorite series was Next Generation. I used to watch it every night with Dave when I was pregnant with Lauren.
When I spend too much time on the computer, Dave calls me a Borg  ;)

Nobody's posted here for awhile, but I had to put in that I am a Classic Trekkie from the Captain Kirk era (even did a high school report (about 1975) on how intense Star Trek fans are...got an A for that one!) Have to say that I did enjoy the now discontinued "Enterprise" show.

Big fans here too. I like the idea of a cat named Tribble. But we haven't named anything after Trek yet. Our cat is named after a candy company -- yeah, chocoholic here.
Anyway we moved before Enterprise went off the air and decided when we moved to not have cable anymore so did not get to see the last episodes. However a friend of Bob's at work (an even bigger fan) taped them for us.
One of our local museums had a Star Trek exhibit several years ago. Bob and I went with the friend and his wife. It was fun and part of it was interactive. I especially liked the "transporter."
I thought Enterprise was okay -- but I had trouble believing the events happened before the first Star Trek. Thought they were way too technologically advanced for the time they were supposed to be in. But that's just my opinion.

I guess I liked the show Enterprise because it carried on the tradition of Trek, but, yes, the technology (with the kind of special effects we're capable of now) couldn't stay true to form for a 1960s show. And I think the whole Xindi season was way too long.
Ah well, I have a friend who bought many original episodes on VHS tape and has loaned them to me. My 10 year old daughter tries to get interested in them (because I raved so much!), but they just don't have the same "sizzle" as Star Wars. Wish I could take her to Episode 3, but the PG-13 is scaring me away. And I've been told it is quite intense...anybody have an opinion about this?

i used to love to watch the next generation series, and a little bit of voyager. never really got into ds9 and watched the first 2 seasons of enterprise.
i've been to 2 conventions. one in PA to see patrick stewart, and one in VA to see scotty. ended up in the elevator with scotty. my aunt and i were going to wait for the next one, but he told us to hurry up and get in lol. we just said ok and got in and said thanks. then another guy got in a couple of floors later and wanted to shake his hand, but the poor man's arms were full of books and papers and he was trying to explain that to the guy (should have been obvious), but he just didn't get it.

My son and I were big Star Trek fans. I wouldn't call us trekkies by a long shot though ... mostly Generations, but Voyager and sometimes DS9 too. I used to watch the original before he was born. Boy, how things have changed since then. I always wanted to take him to a convention but we never did go ... he's 23 (almost) now and we still talk about it. Everybody else (DH and the girlfriend) snicker at us - they don't get it! :D I think it would have been fun.
