Every day between 3-5pm I get hit by the zzzzzzzzz monster! I get sleepy! It takes all I can do to not go have a talk with the couch! :o

Do you have a time of the day where you get sleepy?

I don't normally get sleepy during the day at all....or at night for that matter. When left to my own devices, I'm a chronic insomniac. However, this week I've been getting sleepy and almost dozing off in a chair at lunch time.

I am definately a morning person. So I try to get my chores done then and dinner in the crock pot. By about 2 pm I am ready to veg out. I do get a second wind at about 7 pm though - so I read for awhile.

I usually hit the afternoon slump about 4PM. It is not so bad if I am at work and am busy but at home I usually just give up and take a cat nap. :)

Kathy I'm with you. Around 4 p.m. I want a snack and a nap!!! Never use to be like that but I'm a night person and love staying up late into the night, enjoying the quiet time and reading. Guess when one does that, you need a nap during the day. Too bad I couldn't take a nap.

I am usually ready for bed by 8:30 at night . I am up so early in the morning that I'm ready to zonk out early.
If I just keep going in the morning I get stuff done but let me sit down to eat and the energy is gone...

It depends on how I slept. Sometimes I wake up & want to go back to bed for a cat nap. Try to have a cup of tea around 3 to give me a bit of energy.:)

I get a slump usually around 3:30. I have a cup of tea and a small snack, then I sit down with my feet up and have a short nap! If it is a teaching day, I make sure I have a snack with me and I get my students up to stretch for a few minutes.

Once I'm up I don't really get tired to much. I am not a morning person, so I don't really wake up till about 10:00. Until then I am just existing, don't expect conversation out of me. After that, I'm good to go all day, and I have to force myself to go to bed at night.

I feel like that around 3pm, sometimes not until 4:00. And by 5:00, I'm ready for my day to be over and just want to relax.

Funny you should mention this. I was just talking about this today with the woman I share an office with. I'm a total morning person. Once I'm up I can get everything done by 10:30...seriously...a whole days worth of work by 10:30. However, around 2:30, I start winding down and am just done. Unfortunately, my day doesn't actually end until 8:00 when my oldest goes to bed. So, I prevail. :)

I'm still exactly the same way as when I posted above. Around 6 I'm raring to go until late into the night.

I wish my day could end at a normal hour. I don't have a slump, but often feel frustrated if Gabe runs late from work. It's not his fault and it's much better than when he was at his old job, so I can't really complain. It's just by 6pm, my day filled with kids and my work waiting for me is very, very hard to manage without feeling incredible pressure. Writing when you feel inspired and creative vs. writing by deadline are two different beasts.

I have fantasies of a time I can go to bed before midnight.

I do feel sort of slumpish (nice word) slumpy? LOL around 4pm, too. I want to be 6 yrs old and asking what's for dinner instead of 39 and having to make it. LOL

It usually hits me about 2. It used to be 3-4. Of course with Fibro there are many days when I am tired from start to finish.
