One of my fave yard sale buys (hubby got it)

Working for the electric company (reading meters 2 weeks of month and doing repairs, cutoffs/reconnects the other 2 weeks), my hubby gets around town a lot and sees yard sales before I do.

Last summer, he bought me a wok set with all the utensils, packaging, book everything intact but slightly used for a mere $2. It is my favorite yard sale thing. I used it a lot on our fresh garden vegies. It is great (for me) for cooking meats too as it is easier to cook evenly without burning (for me). I'll probably use it a lot more this summer too.

That's wonderful!

When we got a new stovetop (flat cooktop), our wok wouldn't work on it. So, I stir-fry in a frying pan, which doesn't make enough for all the leftovers I'd like.

I had a brand new wok set that was given to me as a gift before marrying Gabe. I gave it to Gabe's mom. Now that I'm home and cooking meals daily, I wish I had kept it. lol

Our wok didn't work on our flat-top stove. :(

But I have a large frying pan that does pretty well.

My wok would not fit our stove either except it has a stand it sits in...circular with holes in it for venting air to the flame of the burner.

HI! I love to go shopping in thrift stores, I bought a wooden fold up little table and on the top was a checkers game on it, Hubby and I like to play this game. Got it for $3.00!!

So far my favorite buy I have gotten is an absolutely beautiful handmade quilt I bought for $15. I love it!
