Our bathroom taps are old. They were put in when the water came into our town, probably about 1950 or so.
They leak and I don't like a leaking tap.
Dh wanted to put new "o" rings in this morning. Well guess what? They are all rusted, meaning we now have to get new taps for our bathroom.
What type of taps do you have? The newer style or old ones?
Hate to admit my ignorance but heck you all know me already.
By tap, do you mean faucet?
If so, then I have the newer style ones.
We have all 1950's taps except for in the kitchen. Those are I believe 80's style. Oops, forgot...the one bathroom sink has 80's taps too. It's crazy, but I like the old chunky taps we have in the bathrooms. I would love new taps in the kitchen though. I'd love a nice gooseneck faucet. I can dream. :D

Our house is a 1996 doublewide modular so the faucets "taps" are new but we've already had to replace a bathroom sink tap and the kitchen sink tap. I would like to replace the one for the bathtub in the master bath but I rarely use the tub (it's seperate from the shower) so it's not really a necessity.
I like the older taps because they were made of sturdy materials. Good grief look how long yours lasted CJ! :D The new stuff won't last nearly as long.

I agree Carolyn. The only problem is when they need fixing you can't fix them. It might be good though because now I have an excuse to get new ones. :D

My house is a 1904 Craftsman. It was actually ordered out of a Sears catalog! It seems tht there are always little things going wrong, but living here has been the best thing to ever happen in my life.
