We finally got some bunk beds!

We have been looking for BBs for the girls. I thought I had some free ones from Freecycle, but she couldn't get to them in her basement. :( DH went to get some at Rooms To Go Kids, but the sale price didn't include the bunkie boards for the mattresses which were another $50 each.

So, he went to BJs and found a ncie set for $199. They aren't white, which is what I wanted, but they are cute and they come apart into separate twin beds.

I am going to Mattress Firm this afternoon to buy the 2 twin mattresses since they have them on sale for $49 each.

I got the girls sheets in their "themes" (lady bugs for DD#1 and frogs for DD#1) and comforters (Ballerina for DD#1 and Dora for DD#2). Can't wait to get them put together and set up!

We had a big fancy wood set of BB from some people here (ad in paper) for $100. I never could get the fitted bottom sheets in between the wood pieces. And the girls couldn't sleep on top. Finally we sold them after 2-3 years and got our $100 back from it. Then we got toddler sleigh beds from Wal Mart for them. Now they have a full bed from my parents' old home, but the older girl still wants to sleep on a toddler bed in the living room (we just moved it back into the house for her as she can sleep better without her kid sister bothering, fighting or playing with her at bedtime.)

Cheryl, That's great you found the beds. I always thought bunk beds were the neatest thing. I had a brother, so no bunk beds for us. Glad you found a good deal. :) Their bedding sounds so cute.
