I'm also not fond of anything made of silver just because you have to clean it so often. If it wasn't for that I'd love a silver tea set, antique of course.

No. Just cheap stuff from Wal Mart and dollar stores.

I don't own silver. I think the tea sets are beautiful too.

I have a set that belonged to my mom's great aunt. It stays in its storage chest and never gets used.

I have one teaspoon to my wedding silver and a silver serving tray that we got 12 years ago. It is still in the box!

I have a set of sliverware that my grandparents got for their 25th anniversary in 1930. It was given to my mother and she recently gave it to me. I rarely use it -- Thanksgiving and Christmas mostly. Even so, I'm very proud and pleased to have it!

I also have some silver spoons that were given (individually) as high school graduation gifts to my other grandmother --- let's see, that would have been about 1908. She gave them to me for Christmas a few years before she died.

I have my grandparents silverware. I don't use it b/c it's so much trouble to polish. I'll pass it along to one of our dk's one day.

No, I don't really like all of the cleaning involved in it. :D
