Mine is single which I really don't like.
Mine is double and stainless steel. I have had the one basin sinks, old fashioned porcelin, all one piece too Basin, back splash and drain board. You can keep them. Although when my nieces and nephews used to stay with me overnight and they were little, it made a great bathtub! ROFL In my one apt, I lived for about 6 years and it only had a shower stall, so I used the sink when the kids were little for baths.
We have a double stainless steel sink. When I was really young, my parents lived in this huge old house. It was creepy. lol Anyway, the house had one gigantic sink in the kitchen. I wasn't old enogh to do dishes, but I remember thinking it was terribly large for a sink. lol

I have an extra deep stainless single. Also have a tall curved faucet. Love my sink and it's great for filling stock pots and giving kids a bath.;)
I'd love a great big soapstone farm sink.

Mine is double and sort of "composite" (it's white)and as I don't have a dishwasher ( apart from DH and my own fair hands :D ) it is very useful to have one side hot & soapy & one side clean & fresh ( for rinsing) not unlike my brain in a lot of ways! :p ...............

I have a double porcelain and I hate it........it is almost 18 years old and starting to show its age! I would love to have one of those big "farmer" sinks.......I think that is what it is called!

Stainless steel double sink. I really like it but I wish it were a bit deeper.

We put in new solid surface countertops a couple of years ago and took that opportunity to put in a beautiful white porcelain sink with a tall goose-neck faucet. It looks great but I've never had porcelain before so I'm not sure how it's going to hold up. Time will tell I guess.
