I love the use of candles. I especially enjoy splurging on getting ones that have a nice smell but not overpowering. I love all shapes and sizes when it comes to candles. I'm also very careful that the candles I purchase have no lead in them.
Whats your favorite type of candle?
Same as you CJ, I love all candles. I too don't like overpowering scents and definately lead free wicks. I'm always burning candles. ;)

I have tons of them, but don't use them very often (they just get a room too hot here). One of my friends sells Gold Canyon candles (I think that's the right name) and I have a cucumber melon one from her that smells divine.
I love candles as well. I like the Bath and Body Eucalyptus Spearmint by me as I read. I also love the apple cinnamon candles.

I love candles too! Right now I have a lot of scented tea lights and votives. I mostly burn them on the weekends or when we have company. I love clean scents during the Spring and Summer and I like harvest scents during Fall and Winter. They make the house seen nice and cozy when it's not so nice weather outdoors.

Isn't it interesting that such a small thing really brings beauty and elegance to our homes. I can't imagine life without candles.
I bought a nice jar candle about a month ago and just placed it on the table. It's an apple/cinnamon scent. It's clear gel with the dried apples and cinnamons molded into it. I thought it was pretty. Gabe didn't see it when it came in and lit it while he was studying in the livingroom. I just thought it was so nice to see him light it and be comfortable while reading.
I enjoy candles. I love my tart warmer and enjoy burning tarts too.
I have a huge 3 or 4 wick pillar candle we use downstairs on the fireplace hearth. It's my favorite.
I have at least one type of candle in almost every room.

My favorites are from Illuminations and the sweet valley harvest is my favorite. I also like the Nana's Pantry candles but the only place I can find them is at Garden Ridge.

My most favorite is Channel #5 made by "Triscentlicious". If you don't recognize the name, the maker is Sher from FV. The last batch she made special for me. I love all of the scents but I especially like the strong scented ones. I want my whole house to smell like the scent, LOL.

I went to Wal-Mart after Christmas and bought about 60 candles! They are all cherry scented 3" pillars. They smell incredibly wonderful! On the days when I do have the time to do some real housework, I reward myself with a lit candle in each room as I finish, then when I am done the house smells great and I can just relax in it!
I also use LOTS of tea lights. I have purchased over time MANY small tea light holders and they are nice too. I LOVE candles!

I love candles too, especially scented ones. Also love the scented tarts which are a little hard to find here. My MIL and my mom have given me some wonderful votive and tea light holders from Partylite that are beautiful. I find their candles expensive though so I don't usually buy them. I try to find candles that have lead free wicks and I'm looking for a good source of vegetable wax based candles. My favourite scent is cinnamon followed by vanilla and lavendar.

I LOVE candles and usually have one burning somewhere in the house. In summer I really like the crisp clean scents or melon/fruit scents, in the fall/winter...apple, cinnamon, grandma's kitchen, butterscotch. Oh, I'm not fussy just as long as they aren't so overpowering that I get a headache. My favourite candles are from Country Home and Yankee.

Right now I am burning one from Home Interiors, I think it's called Midnight's Eve. It smells like my dh cologne.
I also put the liquid potpourri in glass candle holders throughout the house, it makes the house smell nice as it evaporates.

I love candles with natural scents, and I do like them strong because our cat stinks up our house.
My favorites are Yankee Candle Hydrangea, Storm Watch, Clean Linen, and Bath and Body Works Moonlight Path.

I love to burn candles. I have one burning on my stove every night. I love the "village" candles you can get at Meijers. They are jar candles, but they have two wicks instead of one. They last 4-6 months, even burning every day. I just bought a new one for summer that smells like watermelon.

I always have a candle burning in my house, no matter what the seasons or the weather. I just love the scent they give off. My favorite scent is vanilla, with cucumber melon second. My favorite brand of candles are Yankee Candles

The first thing I do every morning is light a candle in the kitchen. I regularly use the Walmart Mainstays brand in Toasted Hazlenut. They are very reasonably priced. I use any thing that has that soft nutty or baking smell. My brother gave me a snickerdoodle candle for christmas and I have a couple of sugar cookie ones also.

I get a lot of candles cheap at dollar stores often even on half price sale from there.
My big trouble is the girls like to get the wax everyone and I end up scraping it off the floor or tables.
I'd love to make candles though if I could do it cheaply. I know you can use old crayons to color things and can add perfume and scents.
