For mothers day I took my mom out for me and her to get manicures. I love getting my nails done but don't very often (since I just can't see spending the money on that). Well, it turns out that my mom had never had a manicure before!! And my cousin and aunt were there getting their hair done and neither of them had ever had one either!! That just blows my mind - so my question: Have you ever had a manicure? How often do you get them? Mine is about once a year.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time.
I've never gotten one although I have thought of it many times.

No never had one. Just isn't something that I think I'd like to spend money on, just too froo froo for me. Happy others enjoy them though.;)

I've been intending to get some of those French wrap nails, but never have done it. Maybe with tax refund money next year.
Sounds like fun.

I had a manicure for my wedding and for all other weddings I've been in. However, it's too much maintenance for me. I'm lucky if I don't screw it up by the time I get back to my car. That's not even counting the expense.
Too froo-froo for mel, too!
Before Gabe (aka B.G.) :D I had my nails manicured or done (acrylic) often. My job was a very "pretty people" industry and that was just part of what I could do to improve my appearance. People were always looking at my hands. I stopped having my nails done or the whole frequent salon trips thang after marriage. That sounds so bad. Like I've let myself go. lol It's just not something I care to spend money on now.
Maybe again someday...maybe not. I can't really picture it as I'm digging in the garden and housecleaning. lol

I use to have my nails manicure often, and I had it done once as a treat after ds was born, but its too much of a "extra" expense to have them manicured now and it wouldn't last long enough to be worth the expense.

I've only had it done three times - but it feels great! I was going to get them done for my birthday this year (early May) but the lady I went to closed up her shop. I'm sure I can find another one, but I haven't had time to look around. It seems that around here its mostly Asian run shops, and while I don't have a problem with that, I do have a problem if they don't speak English - the last time I got acrylic nails it was by accident because they didn't understand!

I don't like getting my finger nails done, but I do love pedicures! But I rarely go get one because of the cost.
I had a pedicure when I was pregnant and delivered a few days later. My sister talked me into it because she said that my toes should look pretty while up in the stirrups! LOL
I've had 2 of them done. Once when my sis was here she was shocked  I never had one so treated me while I was going through radiation. And the second time was about 6 months ago, I treated myself. ;)
I generally do my own nails, but I have to admit I like how they do them for me. ;)

I've had one (for a friend's wedding). I wasn't pleased with the manicure or the cost so I haven't ever bothered with one again.

I have had a couple but like other's I prefer a pedicure, I try to do one of those at the beginning of sandal season and then I maintain it myself.

I've never had them done, other than the ones I give myself. Those weird French nails just don't do it for me. Mine stay short and I rarely paint them. If I do, it's usually a dark dark blue or burgandy or green or black. Problem is, I work a lot with my hands and my nails get chipped and dirty and broken so often it'd be a total waste of time and money for me to get 'em done. Though if you like 'em, go for it! :)
Bright Blessings!

I've had 2 in my life...one for my wedding day and then one later on with a friend. I like pedicures better...I can do my fingernails better than my toenails :)
