I have 3 and when I purchased them, I made sure they were good investments. Price didn't matter because I had the cash to pay for them. What I wanted was a lifetime of use, a good warranty and easy use.

~my KA is a 6 qt. It has a great warranty, came in the color I wanted and is easy to use. It sits on my kitchen countertop and I use it pretty much on a daily basis.

~my Whispermill - it grinds all my grains along with popcorn, etc. It was very costly, but well worth the investment. It has a lifetime warranty and is very easy to use.

~my food processor - I've had for almost 20 years. I bought it when we first moved to the city and I use it often, especially when during pickling season or making coleslaw. Again, the price was quite high, but its still serving me well.

What brand of food processor do you have cj? Mine is a sunbeam & is big & clunky. I have used it a couple days in a row in the past week and am going to try to use it more often.

My Favs are my kitchen-aid
microwave, great for reheating & melting chocolate
crockpot, 6qt oval corningware
extra large elec griddle, great for big breakfasts or lots of grilled sandwiches

Darlene, its a Moulinux (thats how its spelled). I picked it up at a hardware store almost 20 years ago. It was very expensive, but well worth it.

I use to to:

~slice cucumbers to make bread & butter pickles
~make my coleslaw with (we love coleslaw here)
~slice carrots
~make chips (I have the attachment that makes french fries)
~I've used it to mix up cake mixes before I had a mixer.
~I use it to make all my relishes

Can't think of what else I've used it for, but on a weekly basis I probably use mine about 3-4 times.

Hi ladies! My three favorites are my KitchenAid, my Cuisinart, and...hmmmm...does my crockpot count?

Julia and I have done so much more baking since we got the KitchenAid. Also, the Cuisinart makes things like even macaroni and cheese (shredding the cheese) so much easier! And, of course...the crockpot...need I say more?

Gosh I don't know, you have to cook first right?

I too have a Sunbeam all-in-one thingy. I generally only pull it out during canning season and then again for making Christmas cookies.

I actually think our microwave gets the most use. From making popcorn (Jack) to reheating and defrosting things.

I have been using my breadmaker more this year too. You can tell by my waist. Oh wait, I don't think I have a waist anymore! :D

KA Mixer (it's only a 4.5 qt. though) (I love not having to knead bread by hand!)

6qt. Nesco (wonderful for making a meatloaf or quick bread and not having to heat up the oven)

Definitely the microwave. Crockpot, too.

I don't know if this qualifies as a small appliance or not, but I've got a Mouli food grater/shredder that is hand powered. It can't be beat for shredding potatoes for hashbrowns and is great for cheese too. I haven't tried it for coleslaw.

When I was doing a lot of baking many years ago I yearned for a KitchenAid -- never got one.

I guess it would be my 2 coffee makers. I use one for coffee, the other for tea.

Hmmm... I don't have a breadmaker, I rarely use my crock pot or my rice cooker or my toaster. I guess my handheld mixer would have to be my favorite.

Bright Blessings!
