Auctions

Does anyone go to auctions to find treasures? I don't because I have parents who go to them and I just put in "orders" for what I want and how much I am willing to spend.

They are also great places to find other things too, we got 6, 5-8 foot trees for 200.00! Also many household things other than antiques.

My parents are hobby antique people, dad looks for old tractors and mom mostly glass ware but has expanded into other things that sell in the stores they have booths in.

I used to go to auctions often. I mostly bid on box lots because they were cheap and fun. That's great that your parents enjoy going together and you're able to get some wonderful things too.

I'm afraid to go to them because I can't sit still long enough for someone not to think I'm bidding on something.

I prefer going to yard sales instead.

I love auctions, but don't get to go nearly often enough. We might get to one a year.

I love to people watch, and an auction is a great place for that.

I love going to them! The last one we were at was last fall ....Doug got some great things for the barn/shop and I bought some crocks, an old singer sewing machine table (that has my microwave on now) and some stoneware bowls that I use all the time.

Being that it takes up most of the day we don't get to as many as we would like.

I used to go all the time, but don't know that I have a little one and less money. There are alot of antiques I would like to have but can't touch the bidding at most auctions.

I find more stuff that I can use or resell at yard sales and thrift stores.
