Don't get me wrong here, I LOVE my family and all that goes along with it, but I so look forward to the day when I am here all alone in this house and when I put something down it wil still be there until the next time I look for it ( that is if I can remember where I put it ;) )

I only have 2 ds's home now, one is 18 and the other is 14.My oldet son has two jobs and school and of course a girlfriend which keeps him away from home, however he is in and out just long enough to leave a mess .

I wont know what to do and how to do it once I am alone, but it will sure be fun figuring it out! :p

Robin, sometimes I feel the same way. Like you, we have a few years left. I think though on the whole, I'll really miss all the activity around here once everyone is gone.

Your time is coming Robin! Mine is almost here & I'm having mixed feelings about it. They both will be on their own going to college in August. I'm happy and excited for them and although I will miss them I am trying to look at all the positives to help me through. My job for the past 20 years has been taking care of them but now am trying to adopt the skies the limit for me, time for some changes attitude. Those first weeks are going to be so hard, just have to redifine me & let them be themselves.:)
I can just picture Jack & I those first few weeks... "What do you want to do?" "I don't know, what do you want to do?" Ought to be some funny moments mixed in with some tears I bet.:)

Yep Robin, I can relate. I want to be an empty-nester too. One of my chicks has flown, the other one will go to Canada in June. I love having the house to myself and I'm looking forward to it just being DH and I again. Ummm, it's also a bit scary. ;)
