What are your plans for Memorial day?

We will be going to visit my family (2.5 hours away) at my parents' summer place on the lake. My brother and his family will be coming up from VA, and I will be staying w/ my parents, while my brother will stay at the regular home, 1/2 hour away. My oldest sis will just commute, and my other sis has a place at the lake, too, so it will be a good time. My Aunt and Uncle will also be there as they have a place there, too.

We will be celebrating the birthdays of my sister's three kids (June 16th, 19th, and 25th) since my brother will be here then. And DH and I will be celebrating out 8th anniversary.

What plans do you have?

It will be the first weekend for us to swim in our pool for the year. We plan on having friends over, cooking out and lazing around the pool for about 3 days. On one day I'll help my friend stain the concrete on her patio. Otherwise it's gonna be all fun in the sun for Gripey and me. :cool:

We will be recovering from the state homeschool convention! We will probably hit the beach that evening. We certainly won't go during the day (I hate huge crowds on the beach).

We will be going to my paternal grandparent's for a cook-out, as we do every year. My cousins, aunts & uncles are always there too. We play volleyball, croquet, & touch football and have a great time. I'm so greatful my children have a chance to know my grandparents!

I'm sooooooooooo envious of you folks who are getting together with family! We do not have any family close enough to get together with. This used to be a big family weekend for my family of origin.

Probably we will just hang out at home -- maybe go see a movie if we work up the wherewithall.

DD and I are just going to hang out around the house. DH took the first load of our stuff to FL this weekend, so we will be packing some more and being lazy! :D
