Awesome family weekend!

This past weekend DH and I took the girls to Cherokee, NC. Originally, this weekend was supposed to be a date weekend, but our sitter cancelled. When I went to cancel the hotel, I realized I would lose a deposit, so we decided to go as a family.

We packed up everything and didn't tell the girls. We picked DD#1 up from school and headed out. The girls were SO excited. We got to the room, whcih overlooked the Oconaluftee River. The ducks came right to our porch and the girls got to feed them.

Sat. we got up and went to Santa's Land , which is a little amusement park. We rode the Rudicoaster, Ferris Wheel, tons of little rides. The girls got to see Santa and DD#2 just ran up to him and hugged him.

We saw a magic show and DD#2 got called up on stage. It was cool, because the last time we went here DD#1 was on stage.

We went and fed bears adn petted baby bears and shopped.

Sun. we headed for Gatlinburg. We stopped at Newfound Gap and took pictures of the girls at the head of the Appalachian Trail and standing on the NC/TN state line.

Once in Gatlinburg we went to the Ripley's Aquarium. It was cool and the girls loved it. We played mini golf and then headed home.

It was such a nice weekend!
