Challenge - making our home special

I've been thinking on this one and I've decided to do something extra special for my home once a week, be it with a flower arrangement, a new facecloth, new napkins for the dinner table, etc.

I'll join you! Tonight dd and I picked a huge bouqet of lilacs for the table. The dining room smells wonderful!

Oh I would love to try this. I just hope I can get past the mess to make it special.

That would be a good thing to try. My family won't even sit to the table to eat. Maybe a family dinner, at the table with desert, once a week wouldn't be too much to try.

i think that is a great idea. it wouldn't have to be anything major, just something to make things feel homey and warm. i think i'll clean off the dining room and coffee tables to help the rooms look more inviting.

Sure! Today I picked some lilys of the valley and put them on our kitchen table. The breeze from the open windows is sending that wonderful smell all thru my house. For such a small flower they sure wow your olfactory system.

I'm in. I was going to pick some lilacs and pu them on our butcher-block-island thing. Have to wait for this downpour to pass first, though.
