Or do you do most of it yourself?

Both dd and ds have cleaning jobs to do and they are also responsible for keeping their rooms clean and tidy. I don't expect perfection although I do like to be able to walk into their rooms and have it halfway decent.

When it comes to cleaning the kitchen, I expect them to do as good a job as I do.

The kids clean their room on average of once a week. They also empty the small bathroom garbage cans, and help empty the dishwasher, and pick up stuff off the floor, because they're usually the ones who put it there. They also volunteer to help out with other things like take the dogs out, or feed and water them.

I need to work on this more. Both DDs are pretty good about doing when I ask for specific jobs to be done. DD#1 is starting to have unloading the dishwasher as her job, DD #2 feeds the cat.

The both want to clean sometimes. I need to let DD#1 vacuum - she likes that and DD #2 to dust.

Mine don't really do anything even when asked. You really have to make them. They are 8 and 5 now.

I do most of it but they help if I ask. They have their rooms and bathroom to clean......my ds who is 11 loves to "swiffer" the floors so that is his job.
