When decorating, will you use bold colors?

Not for me. I'm more in favor of calming colors.

I choose white or pastels!

I don't know of I would call it bold, I don't have any red or anything. But when I paint I do use blue, etc. and you can tell it is blue. I think it is because my Mom always painted and said "I am painting the kitchen yellow" but it was white with a yellow tint. So I go for a more distinctive color.

I do use bold colors (like my bedroom walls that I recently re-did) and love them. In dd's bedroom we did tuscan gold and they are lovely. I'm completely comfortable with color, I figure if I don't like it, kilz over it and paint again. In my living room, when I paint in a couple of weeks I'm doing khaki though. The other walls have natural pine panelling and I don't want to busy it up too much. Otherwise I'm happy to go wild with color :D

Right now, my bathroom walls are denim blue. My kitchen is dark brown walls with tan cupboards. My living room is barn wood with one wall panted dark maroon. So yes, I guess I do. Not too bright or anything, just darker colors. :)

Hard with all this wallpaper... But if I could I'd love to do deep burgundy walls in my bedroom. The trim a burnished gold color. It would make me feel so warm & cozy. It would go great with my new bed cover & shams too. to dream...

It depends on the color and the room. I definitely like to use colors, but I have to be a little discriminating because my house is Victorian, and we don't want anything TOO out of keeping with its heritage. That said, I do like bold colors- if I had the right room, I'd o for a nice terra cotta orange and a Moroccan feel. The boldest we will get in this home, however, is the red ("Strawberry Daquiri") in our formal dining room.

I like nostalgic colours....not too bright. Living in an farmhouse it would be hard to get away with bright colours. I have burgundy/greens/cream in the livingroom and diningroom and sage green and soft yellow in the kitchen. I'm really going all out and painting the walls a bit brighter yellow...big deal for me :D It's called Casual Creme from Debbie Travis.

Our bedroom is pinks/lightblue/yellow (DH would like to see this changed at some point) The wall paper is lovely though with roses.

I like bold colors, but since I rent most of the carpets and walls are white or off-white. But I usually have dark green, blue, purple, etc accents - rugs, lamps, curtains.

when we buy a house, the only walls that might be white will be in the kitchen ( i just have a thing for white kitchen walls). i am so tired of beige walls and carpet in all the places we have rented. the kids will get to pick the color for their rooms. but by golly the living room, diningroom, etc will have some sort of color!

I'm trying to introduce more tropical colors (reds, pinks, oranges, blues, greens, yellows, purples).

Yes I love bold colours, everyone else seems to be painting their home some shade of off-white at the moment. I have 4 red rooms and a gold and teal room. I can't just settle for having bold accessories, I have to get the paintpot out too!

I'm into bold. Not much of a decorator though.
