We moved Alexandra to a toddler bed this past week. Zachary was very difficult to transition to a toddler bed, but part of that I think was because he was climbing out of his crib at 18 mos., so he was still pretty young to expect him to stay put. Alexandra was still happily using her crib and didn't try to climb out, but at 2.5 I felt she was ready to use a toddler bed. I expected the worst, but it's been pretty smooth. It's so funny how children are so different. I expected Ally to open her door and walk around, but she only has a little initial apprehension and we go through her one glass of water routine and then she's down for the night. :) Last night she said her room was spooky. lol I'm not sure what that was all about, but I sat with her for a few minutes and she was just fine. :) It's been 5 days and I *think* all is going to work out smoothly.

Good for her & you.:) It really is amazing how different your kids can be. Hope she keeps on loving her big girl bed.

My girls didn't have too much trouble going to toddler or other beds. Well, our older DD didn't want to get out of our bed which she was in from 7 1/2 months to about 2 years.

That's great! Both of my girls were moved to a toddler bed a 2. Neither one has slept in it much - and it is cute too! It's one of those Little Tikes cottage beds. We just bought bunk beds, so I am hoping they will start sleeping in those once I get the rooms moved around and the beds put together!

Aww...what a big girl! Another stage in her life.

Each one of my children are different in their stages, habits...just when I think I have the "stage" figured out, the next one throws a curve ball! :D

Awe how neat. Kinda get teary though when they go out of their cribs into toddler beds. Seems like they aren't babies anymore.
