Do you have plants on your deck?

Do you have plants on your deck (porch, entranceway, whatever) and if so, what kind? I was talking to a co-worker the other day and was stunned to find out that we have the exact same taste in annuals - no marigolds, no impatients, only pansies and petunias, both in shades of deep purple, deep pink, and deep red.

Right now I have some petunias because my local garden shop didn't have pansies.

I have on our porches........

- anthurium
- dracaena (I'm sure I spelled that wrong!)
- singapore plumeria
- glauca ti
- corn plant
- aloe vera
- some other plant that I cannot think of the name of!

On the front porch I have pink begonias and petunias in pots. On my deck I have a mix of zinnas, marigolds, petunias, and geraniums.

We live in an apt. on the first floor, so we have a slab. Not a big slab, but in one corner we have 2 chairs and a small table. We had a pot of pansies on the table till it got too hot for them. Then along the outside edges I have two planter boxes -- one with flowers --just a good mix of what was available in April but stayed with pinks, white and purples for color and the other with herbs -- parsley, lemon balm and lavendar.

And I can't forget the pot with two tomato plants. I am actually nursing four tomatoes along right now. We are right by the front door, so I am a little concerned about someone taking them when they start to get ripe, but I'm giving it a try anyway.
