My Mom was a meticulous housekeeper. She still lives in the same house I grew up in and it is 45 years old. It still has the original kitchen linoleum and living room carpet! We never sat in the living room because that was for company. In the early years one of the bedrooms was our tv room so we spent a lot of time in there. Later the basement was finished so we watched tv and played down there.
Our yard was always perfect - still is. At 84 my mom still mows and trims - tills and plants a HUGE garden. I remember having a lot of people over to play cards and such when I was young.
