I noticed I had a chipped mug and I kept it. I really don't know why. I will probably toss it tomorrow simply because I'm still thinking about it right now. lol
I'm curious if you keep chipped items or toss them?

it depends on the item and how bad it is chipped. if it's just a mug or dish, i'd toss it. if it was something my grandmother gave me from her china or glass collection, i'd still keep it and just try to display it so the chip didn't show. any sort of bakeware or glass cookware that you use that has chipped or cracked should be tossed so it doesn't shatter while you are cooking with it.

Toss it. I don't have any important pieces and don't want anyone getting cut from it. I do keep cracked mugs (coffee) though. Maybe I shouldn't.

Anything that is chipped or cracked gets thrown out. It doesn't matter what it is. I deplore putting chipped plates or mugs on the table.

As long as it's something that you can use without someone being hurt I will use it. Many of my stoneware plates(pfaltsgraph) have small chips in them. It's a discontinued pattern that I can order replacement pieces from a couple times a year. Always ebay too but I'm too frugal to fork over the moola to replace a still usable item.;)

Yes, but I give them to Dave to use for his plants vs. eating/drinking out of them any more.
