There must be a better way than me dragging my racks into the tub or outside with a steel wool. lol

How do you clean yours?

I have used the "magic sponge" for racks that are not too gungy :)

If it is a bit more than that, over here some folks use Household Amonia:

Take racks into garden and spray with a soloution of half water & half Ammonia

place in large thick trash bag tie end up and leave for several hours OR overnight.(outside!)

Next day rinse off racks with clean cold water and the gunge should just fall off!

VERY IMPORTANT, YOU MUST NOT BREATH IN AMMONIA FUMES THEY CAN CAUSE BREATHING DIFFICULTIES & NEVER EVER MIX IT WITH ANYTHING ELSE!

ALWAYS USE OUTDOORS AND KEEP OUT OF THE WAY OF PETS AND CHILDREN

Having said that, if you get off the major gunge one time and keep up to them with the magic sponge you won't have to do the ammonia thing again!

I always cover my racks with Aluminium foil too, just change when messy!

I use easy off oven cleaner for any stove thing. It takes deep gunk off so well, I use it also in the fridge when I have need of it for some spill that has set in at bottom and not been noticed.

I use Easy Off oven cleaner too. I try and do it in my porch. I just lay the racks on newspapers, spray and wait the allotted time and then wash off.

Easy Off now has a cleaner that has no smell. Thats the one I use.

I use Easy Off oven cleaner too. I use it on my drip pans and broiler pan too. I spray them on paper bags and then put them in a garbage bag overnight (outside), and clean them in the morning. Very easy :)
